A program designed for your future

For one year, divided into three periods, you will explore how Boliden operates end to end, and how your own unique background and experience connect to the bigger picture. As a graduate, you are employed in a permanent position from day one and supported by an individual development program. Throughout the year several engaged and experienced colleagues, will guide you in your progress. You will become part of an international network of graduates and colleagues, expanding both your knowledge and connections. Six joint training weeks with top-class lecturers will challenge your thinking and give you the opportunity to further deepen your skills. After graduation you will continue your journey with a mentor for six months. In addition, you will receive practical training in project methodology and Boliden’s production methods, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in our operations.

Find your path

As a graduate and part of Gen B, you will be given a unique gateway into Boliden. Whether you want to grow as an expert in business, engineering, or tech, you will get the opportunity to grow in the area that excites you the most.


In this role as a Production Development Engineer, you'll be part of a new development department at Boliden Odda, investigating operational challenges and identifying improvement opportunities through structured problem solving and data analysis. You will combine independent analytical work with close collaboration across departments and professional disciplines.


Responsibilities:

  • Investigate defined operational problems and gather information from relevant stakeholders


  • Identify root causes through structured problem solving


  • Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and relationships


  • Collaborate across departments and professional disciplines to define improvement opportunities


  • Develop evidence-based recommendations and appropriate solutions


  • Present and explain recommendations clearly to build support for implementation


  • Follow up implementation or hand identified issues and proposed solutions to the responsible department


Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in materials science, production development, cybernetics or automation, mathematics, mechanical engineering, or another relevant field supporting data analysis and industrial development

What you bring

You hold a relevant university degree completed in 2025 or later. You can communicate clearly in English, hold a valid driver’s license and are available to start in September 2027.


How to apply

Submit your application and CV in English. The recruitment process includes assessments, interviews, and a final Assessment Center for selected candidates.

The Assessment Center will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on one day between February 16-19, 2027. Boliden will cover travel and accommodation expenses. Please ensure your availability between February 14-20, 2027, if you progress to the final stage.
