Senior Tester – Sundsvall

Working method: Hybrid / Partial Remote – minimum 3 days per week on-site in Sundsvall

About the Assignment

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tester for a complex public-sector IT environment involving system development, application management and business-critical support systems.

The assignment involves testing and quality assurance in an agile environment with several parallel development teams, complex dependencies and joint deliveries. The systems are based on event-driven, distributed and service-oriented architecture with microservices, while also including legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute functional and non-functional testing.
• Develop test cases and ensure traceability between tests, requirements and changes.
• Perform regression, integration and system testing.
• Develop and manage complex test data using SQL and databases.
• Perform joint testing with other development teams and stakeholders.
• Organize, structure and document testing activities within and across teams.
• Lead and facilitate testing-related workshops.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Support analysis and review of requirements and requirements formulation.
• Troubleshoot and analyze defects and test results.
• Mentor and coach colleagues within testing and quality assurance.
• Support agile ways of working and contribute to team progress.
• Take on Scrum Master responsibilities when required.

Mandatory Requirements

The consultant must:

• Be fluent in Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Have at least 10 years of experience out of the last 15 years working with testing and quality assurance of self-developed applications and systems.
• Have extensive experience with functional and non-functional testing, regression testing and integration testing based on acceptance criteria, including traceability to requirements and changes.
• Have at least 7 years of experience out of the last 10 years developing test cases and preparing and using complex test data, including SQL and databases.
• Have at least 4 years of experience during the last 7 years working with event-based microservices platforms using:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• OpenShift
• Camunda
• RabbitMQ
• DB2
• Angular
• Have at least 4 years of experience during the last 7 years working in the Swedish public sector.
• Have extensive experience working in legally and regulatory-controlled environments.
• Have at least 4 years of experience during the last 7 years working with customer and case/processing systems within public support or equivalent operations.
• Have at least 4 years of experience during the last 7 years working with financial systems, such as loans, grants, benefits, banking or finance.
• Have at least 4 years of experience during the last 7 years working in environments with multiple parallel system development teams, dependencies and joint deliveries.
• Have experience with system development involving code migrated from CA Gen to Java.
• Have extensive experience using Jira for test case management, agile system development and workflows within and between teams.
• Have extensive experience using Confluence for documentation.
• Be highly independent, collaborative and driven, with strong coaching and mentoring skills.

Technical Requirements

The consultant should have experience with:

• Camunda and Camunda Modeler, including understanding of process-engine functionality.
• Camunda Cockpit.
• API testing.
• API testing tools including:
• Swagger
• Bruno
• SoapUI
• Splunk, including log control, filtering and analysis related to testing.
• Web and frontend testing.
• Website accessibility testing according to WCAG.
• Xray for test management.
• Testing batch jobs with J2U.
• Scrum and/or Kanban, with at least 4 years of relevant experience during the last 7 years.
• Scaled Scrum, SAFe or equivalent, with at least 4 years of relevant experience during the last 7 years.
• Working as a Scrum Master or equivalent in agile system development.
• Jira Service Management (JSM).
• Git and GitHub.
• Performance testing, including ordering, coordinating or following up on performance tests.
• IBM Data Studio.
• IBM QMF.

Experience Level

The consultant should have worked in the relevant field for at least 10 of the last 15 years and have a very deep level of expertise.
