We are looking for a Finance Data Lead to join our Business Planning and Analysis team at our headquarters in Lund. In this role you will be the technical backbone of our financial BI ecosystem, making sure the business can plan, report and analyze with confidence. This is a newly created role, so you'll have a real opportunity to shape it and build the way we work with financial data from the ground up. Who is your future team? You will join our Business Planning and Analysis team, which develops and maintains the solutions the finance organization uses for planning, reporting and analysis. We build our planning solutions in Anaplan and our analytics in Power BI, and as a team we also own the data warehouse and the semantic models for financial data. The team consists of a Product Owner who owns our tools, Finance BI Developers who build the solutions, and you as Data Lead who secures the data foundation the whole team relies on. What you'll do here as a Finance Data Lead: Your mission is to ensure that Axis has a robust, scalable and well-governed data foundation for planning, reporting and analysis. You act as the link between the business' needs and the technical data architecture, and you make sure that our tools are based on reliable and well-defined data sources. You are the technical owner of the data models, data quality and structure for our financial data, and you drive data governance together with the business functions that own the definitions. In this role, you will:

• Design and develop data models, securing solid data flows and driving standardization of definitions, concepts and dimensions across the financial BI ecosystem
• Own data quality and data governance by establishing the processes and principles, identifying and driving improvement initiatives, and maintaining governance together with relevant functions
• Set the technical guidelines for modeling and information handling, maintain performance, and continuously evaluate and recommend improvements
• Act as technical advisor to our Finance BI Developers, supporting the design of semantic models and reporting solutions and quality-assuring solutions from a data perspective
• Be the technical bridge between central IT and Finance, working closely with the Product Owner to prioritize data-related initiatives and collaborating with IT and other system owners

Who are we looking for/Who are you? You are a curious, self-driven and technically strong data professional who loves being the link between business and technology, someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told. You are a natural collaborator who can structure and explain complex things clearly, and who enjoys getting Finance, IT and the wider organization to understand why a strong data foundation matters, and to build the best solutions together. As our first dedicated Data Lead, you'll be the go-to expert from day one, learning as you go, reaching out to stakeholders yourself, and driving the right questions forward while making clear why they matter. We'd love to hear that you have/are:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or Finance)
• Experience in data modeling, data architecture or BI/Data Warehousing, preferably supporting Finance or FP&A functions
• Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling and of building semantic models for analytics and planning
• Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
• Familiarity with Power BI and, ideally, planning platforms such as Anaplan
• Experience building and transforming data in a modern warehouse environment. We work with ClickHouse and dbt, but experience with similar databases and transformation frameworks is just as welcome
• Comfortable writing complex queries and optimizing performance for large datasets
• A proven ability to translate business needs into a scalable, well-governed data architecture and to partner with both technical and business stakeholders
