In Purchasing Development, we enable purchasing of sustainable and affordable IKEA products by developing a strong global supplier network. We work close to suppliers, partners, Range and Supply Chain Operations to secure quality, availability, sustainability and the lowest possible cost for the many people.
Within Purchasing Development, Category Area Food is part of the Food total value chain transformation. We are shaping a simpler, more connected and more industry-relevant way of working for IKEA Food, with clearer accountability, faster decisions and stronger supplier performance. Food has its own conditions, with limited shelf life, food safety requirements, freshness needs and changing market expectations. This calls for practical, fact-based and close supplier collaboration.
We are now looking for a Logistics Operations Developer who wants to help strengthen supplier logistics performance and capability across an assigned geography. In this role, you will work close to suppliers and business teams to make sure supplier routines, data quality, logistics compliance and execution readiness support reliable, compliant and cost-conscious supply.
This is a role for someone who enjoys turning operational signals into clear improvement actions. You will help suppliers and office teams understand what needs to be improved, follow up progress and make sure repeated issues are solved in a structured way within agreed ways of working.
About the role
As Logistics Operations Developer, you will own and develop supplier logistics performance for assigned suppliers and geographies. You will follow up delivery performance, data quality, logistics compliance and launch or change readiness. You will also support supplier capability development through analysis, training, implementation follow-up and corrective actions.
You will work closely with Business Developers, Business Development Managers, Product Sourcing Leaders, Inventory Planners, suppliers and other internal stakeholders. Your input will help bring supplier-side logistics reality into business decisions, so we can improve availability, reduce recurring issues and support growth at lower cost.
