This role sits within the Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV) and automation function at a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing site, operating within a strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on 800xA Batch Automation Engineer, working closely with the site's C&I and automation teams to maintain, configure and troubleshoot the batch control system.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day 800xA Batch Management support across the site
- Carry out configuration work within the 800xA platform
- Provide C&I support during commissioning activities
- Support the Alarm & Interlock Viewer (AIV)
- Diagnose and fix 800xA configuration issues
- Manage export and import of 800xA libraries
- Update Functional Design Specification (FDS) documents to reflect configuration Actively support and share knowledge with other team members
- Identify issues proactively before they escalate
- Participate in daily team meetings
Technical Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience configuring ABB 800xA, specifically Batch Management
- Prior experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment
- Comfortable operating in a C&I support / commissioning capacity
- Familiarity with the Alarm & Interlock Viewer (AIV)
- Practical experience troubleshooting and resolving 800xA configuration issues
- Experience exporting and importing 800xA libraries
- Confident producing and updating FDS documentation
Working Arrangements
- Must be available to work on site at the facility
- Must be available to participate in rotation work, including weekends, as required by production schedules
- Attendance at daily team meetings is expected
