Scandian Infrastructure is a Swedish infrastructure company that develops and delivers international infrastructure projects. Today, Scandian is a leading Swedish EPC partner, delivering projects across Africa, India, and South America. Through long-term infrastructure solutions, we contribute to economic growth, improved living conditions, and sustainable societal development in the markets where we operate.

We are now seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the African Market to lead and strengthen our operations across multiple countries on the African continent.

This is a key executive role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, project execution, business growth, and organizational performance while supporting our strategic ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Scandian's operations across African markets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Ensure successful execution and delivery of projects, contracts, and customer commitments.
• Manage and support managers, project teams, and operational staff.
• Monitor budgets, financial performance, and operational KPIs.
• Strengthen relationships with customers, partners, government stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
• Support business development activities and contribute to market expansion opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in operations management.
• Proven experience managing operations across African countries.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, utilities, development projects, construction, or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience working with international organizations, governmental agencies, or development finance institutions is considered a strong advantage.
• Fluency in English is required. French is highly desirable.
