We are looking for a structured, service-minded and detail-oriented Paralegal to support AstraZeneca AB's work with international agreements. The role will focus primarily on coordination/signatures of agreements and other legal documents for international business activities.

About the Role
The Paralegal will be responsible for
Being an authorised signatory and manage coordination/signatures of agreements and other types of documents entered into by AstraZeneca AB for AstraZeneca's business outside of Sweden (mainly for the International Region: Middle East & Africa, Russia/Eurasia, Ukraine/Georgia, Eastern Europe, Asia Area, China, Latin America, and from time to time also Europe and US),
Providing certain company secretary work for the Swedish legal entities,
Monitoring/reviewing new Swedish and EU laws/regulations that could have an impact on AstraZeneca AB and its activities.
The Paralegal will have a direct reporting line to the Legal Director Nordic and an indirect reporting line to the CFO of AstraZeneca AB.
Typical Accountabilities
Coordinate the signing process for international agreements and other legal documents entered into by AstraZeneca AB.
Review signing instructions and ensure that documents have been properly approved.
Sign international agreements and other legal documents on behalf of AstraZeneca AB.
Maintain accurate records of executed agreements, signature requests, approvals and related correspondence.
Liaise with international business stakeholders, legal colleagues, finance teams, notaries, authorities and external partners to support timely execution of documents.
Support document formalities, including notarisation, apostille/legalisation, certified copies and corporate evidence, where needed.
Ensure that signature processes are handled efficiently, consistently and in compliance with internal governance requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of signing workflows, templates, guidance notes and document management routines.
Cooperation with Global Legal's Board & Corporate Support team regarding certain company secretarial matters for the Swedish legal entities.
Monitor/review new Swedish and EU laws/regulations that could have an impact on AstraZeneca AB and its activities in collaboration with key functional representatives and inform relevant stakeholders in AstraZeneca AB.
Representing AstraZeneca AB in various global AstraZeneca projects (for example projects regarding contract/document management).
Essential Requirements
Paralegal qualification, legal assistant education, law studies or equivalent relevant education.
At least five years of professional work experience, in a paralegal role or in other relevant professional role(s), preferably from a legal department, law firm, corporate governance function, contract management team or a similar environment.
Previous experience of handling agreements, signatures, powers of attorney, corporate documents or international legal documentation.
Strong administrative skills and proven ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines and stakeholders in parallel.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of integrity when handling confidential and legally significant documents.
Very good written and spoken English and Swedish language skills.
Good digital skills, including experience of document management systems, Microsoft Office and electronic signature tools.
