Your Future Challenges

You will join a team of experienced individuals responsible for both current contract deliveries as well as securing new contracts for the Gripen fighter system. You will have a direct impact on Saab's business outcome by shaping contract strategies, supporting negotiations and contributing to long-term customer partnerships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading or be part of a cross-functional contract team including sub-contract managers, commercial, finance and product management
• Managing full contract lifecycle in Winning business and Execute business processes
• Leading contractual negotiations with customers and suppliers
• Representing Saab building trust and collaboration
• Working together with program management, contract managers and other Saab units to ensure delivery on our contractual obligations
• Driving follow-on sales opportunities and secure long-term contractual value
• Engaging in strategic discussions and business development
• Working closely with engineering teams to align customer needs with technical feasibility

This role demands strong operational management skills, high level of business and commercial awareness and a strong will to develop the way we do business with FMV. Some travel is required, mostly within Sweden.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to lead and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Strong negotiation skills and experience handling high-stakes business discussions
• Solid business and commercial understanding and a high level of self-motivation and persistence
• Demonstrated track record of ensuring timely, cost-effective and high-quality deliveries
• Ability to navigate cross-functional work within complex organizational structures
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Experience in managing business relationships
• Experience working with the Gripen system is highly desirable
• Leadership experience or exposure to international business environments is a plus

This role requires security clearance as per defense confidentiality regulations. Therefore, candidates must pass a security clearance conducted by the relevant authorities.

What You Will Be a Part Of

Aeronautics, a division within Saab, is responsible for the development, production, marketing, sales and support of the Gripen system. Aeronautics also provides aviation-related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aircraft structures and services to defense customers and the civil aviation industry.

The task of the Gripen Business Unit, a part of Aeronautics, is to ensure the development, production, testing, delivery and operation of the complete weapon system for both current and new customers. The assignment includes responsibility for delivering in accordance with current agreements, as well as coordination within Saab, subcontractors, partners and with our customers.

Within the Gripen Program and Systems Management department, we are looking for dedicated professionals to manage contracts with Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV).
