You will help shape the color, material, and finish expression for one or more vehicle programs in an automotive design environment. In this role, you turn strategic CMF direction into design solutions that are both creative and ready for production. You will work across the full journey from early concept to launch, balancing visual storytelling, technical feasibility, and material innovation.

You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, modelers, visualization experts, trimmers, painters, and suppliers. The role suits you if you enjoy moving between big-picture CMF themes and detailed execution, while keeping quality high in a fast-moving setting. It is an exciting opportunity to influence both the creative direction and the final product outcome.

• You support CMF development for assigned vehicle programs from concept through launch.
• You create complete CMF proposals covering color, material, and finish, including technical drawings for quilt and perforation patterns.
• You translate CMF strategy into feasible, production-ready design solutions.
• You develop both macro-level CMF themes and detailed design elements such as quilting, textures, and mesh patterns.
• You produce visual presentations, renders, and storytelling material that communicate ideas clearly.
• You work closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, modeling, visualization, trim, and paint.
• You coordinate with suppliers for exterior paint, soft trim, and decorative materials.
• You contribute to sustainability initiatives and explore new material innovations.
• You present CMF proposals to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and confidence.
• You support knowledge sharing within the team and help guide other CMF designers.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of CMF experience.
• Proven experience delivering production-ready CMF programs.
• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to create high-quality renders in VRED or Blender.
• Ability to independently lead CMF programs.

• Experience from the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with Rhino.
• Knowledge of generative AI tools.
