You will help shape the sensory identity of future vehicle programs by turning CMF strategy into production-ready design solutions across color, material, and finish. This is a role for you who enjoy working where creativity meets industrial reality in a technically advanced automotive environment. You will support one or more vehicle programs from early concept through launch, balancing strategic direction with detailed execution and close collaboration across design, engineering, visualization, and supplier interfaces.

You will move between macro themes and fine-grained design details such as quilting, perforation patterns, textures, mesh patterns, and material specifications. At the same time, you will help ensure that design intent can be realized in production through feasible choices, clear communication, and strong cross-functional coordination. • You will support CMF development for assigned vehicle programs from concept to launch.
• You will create and refine complete CMF proposals covering colors, materials, finishes, and supporting specifications.
• You will translate strategic CMF direction into feasible, production-ready design solutions.
• You will develop both overarching CMF themes and detailed design elements such as quilting, textures, and pattern work.
• You will produce high-quality visual presentations, renders, and storytelling material that communicate design intent clearly.
• You will work closely with designers, engineers, modelers, visualization experts, trimmers, painters, and other specialists to move ideas forward.
• You will coordinate with suppliers around exterior paint, soft trim, and decorative materials.
• You will contribute to sustainability initiatives and material innovation exploration.
• You will share knowledge within the team and support other CMF designers when needed.
• You will present proposals to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and confidence.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of CMF experience.
• Proven experience delivering production-ready CMF programs.
• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to create high-quality renders in VRED or Blender.
• Ability to independently lead CMF programs.

• Experience within the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with Rhino.
• Knowledge of generative AI tools.
