We’re now looking for a Software Developer to join the team working at the core of our technology – developing and evolving the media player that powers our business brands: Grassfish, Dise, and Visual Art.

As part of our IXM Grid team, you’ll develop and evolve the Media Player at the heart of our platform.

Our Media Player is a hardware-agnostic, JavaScript-based application running across a wide range of devices and environments. It handles media playback, remote control and monitoring of digital signage installations – reliably, continuously and at scale.

This is a role for someone who enjoys the intersection between software, devices and the real world. You’ll work with challenges ranging from application development and device communication to performance, stability and ensuring that software keeps running reliably in very different hardware environments.

You won’t work alone. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional development team where we solve problems together, share knowledge and continuously improve how we build our platform.

Depending on your experience and interests, you’ll contribute to areas such as:

• Developing and improving our JavaScript/TypeScript-based Media Player

• Building reliable software designed to run continuously with minimal downtime

• Adapting and optimizing applications across different devices and operating environments

• Troubleshooting challenges involving software, hardware and network communication

• Testing, monitoring and improving performance and stability

• Exploring new technologies and better ways of solving technical challenges

You don’t need to know every technology we use from day one. We’re looking for a developer with a strong technical foundation who enjoys understanding how things work and solving complex problems. You’re curious, collaborative and comfortable taking ownership while also asking questions and learning from others.

We think you’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Experience in software development, particularly application or systems-oriented development

• Programming experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript (codebase is primarily TS)

• Experience with a modern frontend framework – we use Svelte

• An interest in, or experience with, software running across different devices or hardware environments

• A basic understanding of networking and device communication

• Professional working proficiency in English

Experience from digital signage is not required. What matters more is your ability and curiosity to understand the technology behind it.

You may also have experience in one or several of these areas, but we don’t expect you to tick every box:

• Device platforms such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android, BrightSign or Raspberry Pi

• Windows, Linux, x86 or ARM environments

• Android or Kotlin development

• Experience with GO

• Embedded systems, IoT, sensors or other hardware-adjacent development

• Applications designed for high availability or continuous operation

• Testing and development tools such as Playwright, Postman or Vitest

• AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging or productivity

Our core stack includes TypeScript, JavaScript and Svelte, with Vite for building, Vitest for unit testing and Playwright for end-to-end testing.
