Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced CI/CD Platform Engineer / Developer Experience Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Execute and evolve the Buildkite CI strategy at large scale
• Manage and maintain self-hosted Buildkite agent fleets across:
• Linux
• macOS
• Windows
• Build and maintain Buildkite infrastructure, pipeline templates, plugins, hooks, and shared libraries
• Automate agent provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of CI infrastructure
• Scale CI infrastructure for large monorepos through efficient pipeline splitting and artifact management
• Develop standardized CI/CD solutions and improve developer productivity
• Support migration of internal teams to modern CI platform capabilities
• Work with cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and/or Azure
• Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to define best practices for CI/CD
• Contribute to software engineering best practices including testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience building and implementing large-scale software or infrastructure systems
• Strong software engineering experience with Java
• Experience with Python is beneficial
• Hands-on experience with Buildkite, including agent management, pipelines, plugins, or hooks
• Strong understanding of CI/CD platforms and developer infrastructure
• Experience working with:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Linux, macOS, and Windows environments
• Experience with Shell and PowerShell scripting
• Good understanding of HTTP and networking fundamentals
• Experience deploying and implementing solutions in cloud environments such as:
• Google Cloud
• AWS
• Azure
• Strong focus on automation, standardization, reliability, and developer experience
• Experience working collaboratively across multiple engineering teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
