We are looking for a Specialist CFD Engineer to join the Technical Safety & Analysis team. We are primarily looking for someone that will work at our Gothenburg office in Sweden.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled experts in technical safety, environmental studies, risk analysis, and CFD modeling. Driven by curiosity and innovation, this team conducts advanced simulations and analyses to optimize designs and enhance safety across offshore wind, aquaculture, carbon capture, defense, and low-carbon technologies.

What will you be doing?
As a key member of the team, you will:
Hydrodynamics: analyzing loads and movement of fully or partly submerged structures in water, slamming, marine operations, wave run-up, etc.
Aquaculture: water quality, circulation and oxygen analysis, waste and particle management, net and membrane design, structural loads, etc.
Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCUS): flue gas system design, process system optimization and verification, stack design, dynamic simulations
Multiphase flow: multiphase flowmeter analysis, erosion, velocity and phase distribution analysis, etc.
General external flow analysis: helideck turbulence analysis, snow drift and accumulation, produced water and gas dispersion analysis, etc.
Conjugate heat transfer: heat removal and thermal management of process systems, electronics and mechanical systems, HVAC design optimization and verification.
Hydropower turbine system design and optimization
Work as an integrated member of a larger multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team in Entr / Aker Solutions, or on work on smaller studies performed directly for the Client.
Identify new opportunities, prepare tenders, be project manager for smaller studies, and participate in internal and external activities to promote our services and offerings.
Contribute to innovation and development activities, and mentor younger engineers
Work on studies and projects across all engineering project phases, from Feasibility/Concept to Detail Engineering and Operation/Modification.
Lead CFD analysis studies and be project manager on smaller projects.
Contribute to shaping the future of CFD services in Entr and solving global energy challenges for future generations.
We think you should have:
Master’s degree (or higher) within engineering, physics and similar, with subjects related to one or more of the following fields: fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, process design, or product development.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience with CFD analysis used on industrial applications.
Experience with technologies and processes related to offshore wind, aquaculture, CCUS, oil&gas, hydrogen and its derivatives, is an advantage.
The ability and self-drive to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge, to share your knowledge and experience with others.
The ability to listen and to translate customer challenger into solutions.
Experience with handling customers and the ability and self-drive to identify new opportunities and engage with new potential clients (create new business)
The ability to work structured, have strong work ethics and be a positive contribution to our office environment.
Experience with StarCCM+ or similar CFD tools is an advantage.
Experience with AI tools and basic programming in Python, Java, VBA, Power BI or similar is an advantage.
Project management and customer contact experience are an advantage.
Good communication skills both written and oral in English are required. Norwegian/Swedish language skills are an advantage.
Swedish or Norwegian citizenship is an advantage (due to requirements from some Clients)
