Subject description
The research subject Electric Power Engineering covers studies of sustainable systems for production of electrical energy, transport of electrical energy and the interaction between the power grid, electricity production and electricity consumption.
Duties
Associate Professors are normally expected to be engaged in the university's education, pedagogical development activities, and research. Responsibilities also include keeping abreast of international developments within the discipline and supervising doctoral students. Associate Professors are expected to contribute to the university's development efforts, work to secure external research funding for the subject area, and be available for leadership and administrative assignments.
Associate Professors are also expected to lead research projects, communicate their results through academic publications, and maintain an active presence within the research community of their field.
As an Associate Professor, you will strengthen the research group and broaden its research activities, supervise doctoral students, and teach students. Possible research specializations include:

Qualified for an appointment as an associate professor are those who have demonstrated both research and teaching expertise. As much attention must be given to the assessment of teaching expertise as to the assessment of research expertise.
