Assignment Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager
What You Will Work On
- Lead and coordinate the external work package within a large-scale BESS project
- Manage project execution from conceptual design through commissioning and handover
- Coordinate internal and external engineering stakeholders
- Support project governance, reporting, and executive communication
- Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office and senior management
- Oversee project planning, risk management, and milestone tracking
- Manage interactions with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Support vendor selection, vendor management, and supplier coordination
- Ensure successful execution of detailed engineering activities
- Coordinate construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Monitor project performance, budget, quality, and delivery objectives
- Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple Volvo Group initiatives
- Support executive-level reporting and steering committee activities
- Ensure project objectives align with strategic business goals
- Manage dependencies between the BESS project and related initiatives
- Support project phase-out and operational handover activities
What You Bring
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project or program management
- Proven experience managing utility-scale BESS projects
- Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and energy infrastructure
- Experience with performance verification and operational readiness of BESS facilities
- Experience working with DSO approval processes
- Strong knowledge of the Swedish energy market and regulatory environment
- Experience leading large-scale engineering, infrastructure, or energy projects
- Proven ability to operate in executive-level stakeholder environments
- Experience managing external vendors, contractors, and engineering partners
- Strong understanding of EPC, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes
- Experience with risk management and project governance frameworks
- Ability to manage strategic projects with significant business impact
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within complex matrix organizations
- Ability to bridge technical, commercial, and organizational perspectives
