Assignment Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Define requirements, design, and verify advanced networking products
- Lead bring-up activities for new hardware platforms
- Work with platforms utilizing technologies such as Microchip Ethernet devices and Cisco modules
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues
- Develop and validate Ethernet-based solutions over copper and fiber networks
- Verify and debug PHY, MDIO, SFP/SFP+, and related interfaces
- Support the development of embedded networking platforms and products
- Collaborate closely with electronics, firmware, and software development teams
- Act as a technical liaison between hardware and software disciplines
- Perform system-level verification and validation activities
- Analyze technical issues across multiple layers of the system stack
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture descriptions, test results, and analysis reports
- Contribute to platform architecture decisions and product development strategies
What You Bring
- University degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Several years of experience in system engineering, embedded development, or networking-related product development
- Deep understanding of Ethernet technologies and low-level networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and hardware-near debugging
- Experience working with PHY, MDIO, or similar communication interfaces
- Experience with U-Boot and/or Embedded Linux environments
- Strong knowledge of hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Experience with or solid understanding of SFP/SFP+ modules and optical transceivers
- Ability to investigate and solve complex issues spanning both hardware and software domains
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
