About the RoleYou will take a key role in shaping component strategy in an advanced electronics environment.
The focus is on selecting, qualifying, and approving electronic components while securing supply continuity, reducing risk, and optimizing cost throughout the product lifecycle.
You will work closely with product development, sourcing, manufacturing partners, and EMS providers to make sure component decisions are robust, well documented, and aligned with both technical and commercial needs.
Your work will have a direct impact on availability, quality, and long-term maintainability.

Job Description- You will select, analyze, qualify, and approve electronic components for ongoing and future product needs.
- You will manage component documentation and maintain accurate component data in the PLM system.
- You will drive lifecycle activities such as obsolescence management, PCN/PDN handling, and Last Time Buy planning.
- You will identify cost-saving opportunities by evaluating and approving alternative components.
- You will support EMS providers and manufacturing partners with component-related questions and issues.
- You will contribute to engineering change processes and help build multi-source component strategies.
- You will collaborate with stakeholders across engineering and sourcing to reduce supply chain risk and improve component availability.
Requirements- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within electronics, component engineering, sourcing, or component management.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the electronics industry, including component lifecycles, market dynamics, and cost drivers.
- Experience working with electronic components throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Nice to have- Experience with PLM systems.
- Knowledge of PCN/PDN, obsolescence management, and Last Time Buy processes.
- Experience working with EMS providers or contract manufacturers.
- Experience with component qualification and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Understanding of supply chain risk management within electronics.
- Swedish language skills.
