Assignment Description
We are seeking a Design Engineer Analyst – Corrosion
What You Will Work On
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure correct material and surface treatment selections
- Perform laboratory corrosion testing and material evaluations
- Conduct corrosion analyses and investigations on vehicle components and systems
- Support complete vehicle corrosion verification activities (CORCAR)
- Perform early-stage CAD-based corrosion and material assessments
- Analyze test results and provide technical recommendations
- Investigate corrosion-related issues and support aftermarket problem-solving activities
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and deviation analyses
- Evaluate component and vehicle performance from a corrosion perspective
- Participate in validation and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle
- Support continuous improvements in corrosion prevention and material selection strategies
What You Bring
- University degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion Engineering, or a related field
- Strong expertise in corrosion engineering and corrosion prevention methodologies
- Experience with material analysis and surface treatment evaluation
- Knowledge of metallic materials, coatings, and corrosion mechanisms
- Experience performing laboratory testing and engineering analysis
- Understanding of complete vehicle systems and automotive product development
- Ability to analyze test data and deliver high-quality technical reports
- Strong planning and execution skills with a focus on timely delivery
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams
