ABOUT THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a Product Safety Manager to support our Business Units with product safety expertise. As a Product Safety Manager you will be part of the Product Safety Business Support team. The team supports with expertise and competence operations and business ensuring product safety management across all operations.
Your main task will be to support our Business Units with product safety expertise together with your colleagues and develop, harmonize and create common processes for product safety.
The role and responsibilities will depend on your background and competence but could cover some of the following areas: interpreting food contact material legislation, coordinating and supporting implementation to ensure compliance, supporting practical questions on good manufacturing practices including food safety risk assessments and arranging internal trainings.
You will participate in our internal product safety network of experts and work in collaborations with our Business Units, Innovation and R&D, internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers. The job requires some travelling on need basis.
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you should have experience from production environment combined with structured analytical thinking, problem solving ability and teamworking skills. The position requires good interpersonal skills, and you can act independently, proactively and with good accuracy.
We expect you to have at least a Master’s degree in natural sciences such as chemistry, food science or similar. Good understanding of European food contact legislation and product safety as well as understanding of management systems and good manufacturing practices are needed.
Understanding of global food contact legislation such as FDA/US, China or Mercosur is beneficial as well as experience from paper and board industry, food industry or food packaging. We also value experience in performing food safety management system audits. You are a good communicator, and you are fluent in English.
