We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Sweden.

You will be responsible for the administration, performance, and reliability of a mixed database environment spanning Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

Working in a hybrid setup, you will collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing database services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database environments
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve issues
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures across all database platforms
• Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Optimise query performance and carry out schema design reviews
• Implement and enforce database security policies, access controls, and auditing
• Support database migrations and version upgrades across platforms
• Contribute to automation of routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, or similar)
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on DBA experience across two or more of: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, including RAC, RMAN, and Data Guard
• Solid experience with open-source databases — PostgreSQL and/or MySQL in production environments
• Proficiency in SQL and query tuning across multiple database engines
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies and DR testing
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g., OEM, pgAdmin, Percona Monitoring and Management)
• Scripting skills for automation (Shell, Python, or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications (OCA, OCP, or higher)
• Experience with cloud-hosted databases (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure Database)
• Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high-availability configurations (e.g., PostgreSQL Patroni, MySQL InnoDB Cluster)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience in ITIL or structured service management environments

Security Clearance Requirement

⚠️ This position requires Swedish Security Clearance Level 2SE (Säkerhetsskyddad anställning, nivå 2).

An extended background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process. To be eligible, candidates must have resided in Sweden for the past 3 years without interruption. Candidates who do not meet this residency requirement cannot be considered for this role.
