About the RoleYou will help shape the software behind climate comfort in premium vehicles, with a clear focus on passenger experience, energy efficiency, and robust system behavior.
In this role, you join a team that develops base software and control strategies for climate functions, where your work directly affects how comfort temperature is achieved with minimal power cost.
You will work in a modern automotive engineering environment, close to software, testing, and cross-functional teams.
The role combines algorithm development, embedded software, and hands-on verification in vehicles and other test environments.

Job Description- You will develop, implement, and test control algorithms for climate comfort functions.
- You will design and refine software for climate control modules with a focus on quality, robustness, and energy-efficient performance.
- You will troubleshoot issues, analyze field data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions together with cross-functional teams.
- You will verify your solutions through structured unit testing, code reviews, and testing in vehicles and other relevant test environments.
- You will contribute to software development that follows established standards and supports fast, high-quality delivery.
Requirements- M.Sc. in Systems, Control and Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in embedded software design and implementation.
- Proficiency in model-based development and automatic code generation using MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with software testing and analysis tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer and/or ETAS INCA/MDA.
- Familiarity with automotive E/E architecture and communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and version control tools such as Zuul, Jenkins, Git, and Gerrit.
- Experience working with structured software quality practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and standards such as MISRA and ISO 26262.
- Good written and spoken English.
- A category B driving licence valid in Sweden.
- Ability to complete required background checks for a sensitive role, including identity, education, employment, citizenship, and criminal record verification.
Nice to have- Experience working with HVAC systems or similar control systems.
- Climate system knowledge.
