We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning, testing, and energization of high-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, and associated power system equipment for large-scale energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable startup of electrical systems while supporting project execution, testing, troubleshooting, and handover activities.
Responsibilities
- Commission high-voltage (HV) equipment and substations
- Execute protection relay testing and verification activities
- Perform transformer, switchgear, and electrical equipment testing
- Support energization and startup activities
- Troubleshoot technical and commissioning-related issues
- Review commissioning procedures, test protocols, and engineering documentation
- Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, construction, and operations teams
- Produce commissioning reports and technical documentation
- Support FAT, SAT, site testing, and handover activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and commissioning procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience commissioning HV substations and electrical equipment
- Strong understanding of power systems and substation infrastructure
- Knowledge of protection and control systems
- Experience with transformers, switchgear, relays, and HV testing activities
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Fluent English, both written and spoken

- High-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) substations
- Protection relay testing and commissioning
- IEC 61850 and substation automation systems
- SCADA and communication systems
- Utility, EPC, renewable energy, or industrial power projects
- FAT, SAT, commissioning, and energization activities
- International project experience
- Site-based commissioning work
