We are seeking an experienced HVDC System Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission systems for large-scale power transmission, renewable energy, and grid infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in system studies, grid integration, converter station design support, and technical coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform HVDC system studies and technical analyses
- Support the design and development of HVDC transmission systems
- Participate in converter station design and engineering activities
- Conduct power system and grid integration studies
- Analyze system performance, stability, and network interactions
- Support technical coordination between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
- Review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with transmission operators, utilities, contractors, and project teams
- Support project execution from concept design through commissioning and handover
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and client requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience working with HVDC transmission systems or large-scale power system projects
- Strong understanding of power systems engineering and electrical network analysis
- Experience with system studies, load flow analysis, and grid integration assessments
- Knowledge of converter station technologies and HVDC principles
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
