The Manager Project Execution is a newly installed role, which will lead and develop our project execution capability with six direct reports plus consultants. The Project Management Organization (PMO) is responsible for investment projects at the Uppsala site.

This is a key leadership position, reporting to the PMO manager and is part of the Project Portfolio Governance Team together with Program Managers and the Portfolio Lead. The position is located in Uppsala, Sweden, and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the project execution organization, including coaching and performance follow-up.
• Responsible for the project resource allocation including hiring and administration of contractors.
• Ensure structured and consistent project execution across the portfolio, meeting agreed objectives for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• As team member in the PMO governance team, you will develop and implement a new project portfolio governance structure.
• Participate in and contribute to project steering committees.

Who you are:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or similar.
• You bring 5+ years of experience working with projects and project portfolios as project manager or leading roles.
• Strong people leadership skills with a coaching and performance‑driven mindset.
• A strong collaborator and team player with the ability to motivate others, build trust, and foster a positive and high‑performing work environment.
• Solid understanding of project governance, financial control, and resource management.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with motivation to evolve tools, processes, and ways of working over time.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, with strong communication skills in speaking as well as writing

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Danaher Business System or an equivalent continuous improvement methodology.
• Experience from Smartsheet or other project portfolio tools.
