VX Fiber is looking for Backend Developers to help build and evolve the systems behind our global SaaS platform for fibre network operations.

You might be early in your career and ready to grow, or an experienced developer who can take broader technical ownership. What matters most is that you enjoy working with modern technology to solve real problems.

About the role

As a Backend Developer at VX Fiber, you will design, build, and maintain backend services that power our fibre network SaaS platform. Our backend stack is built around Go, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Temporal, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, Nomad, Consul, Vault, and AWS.

You will work with distributed systems, domain-driven design, automation, integrations, and operational workflows that support network owners, ISPs, field operations, provisioning, service activation, and subscriber services.

You will join a self-organizing, cross-functional team where architecture, automation, product thinking, and technical quality are part of everyday work.

What you might work on

Depending on your experience and interests, you could be involved in:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Go.
• Use modern AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows to improve speed, quality, and developer productivity.
• Build APIs, integrations, workflows, and domain services using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, GraphQL, and Temporal.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product, platform, operations, and network specialists.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Improve reliability, scalability, performance, and observability across distributed systems.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical proposals, and design discussions.
• Work with cloud-native infrastructure and deployment tooling such as Docker, Nomad, Consul, Vault, and AWS.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Education

We value competence, drive, and pragmatism more than formal education – if you have the right experience, a diploma matters less.

Experience

You should have:

• Hands-on experience building backend systems, services, APIs, or integrations.
• Experience with Go, or another modern backend language such as Java, C#, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, service boundaries, and distributed systems.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering speed and quality.
• Interest in, or experience with, agentic coding workflows — for example using coding agents to explore codebases, generate implementation plans, write tests, refactor, review changes, or support documentation.

• Curiosity, ownership, and willingness to learn new technologies and domains.

Experience with any of the following is valuable, but not required:

• Go, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Temporal, GraphQL, or event-driven systems.
• MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, or data modelling.
• Docker, Nomad, Consul, Vault, Terraform, AWS, or similar infrastructure tooling.
• Domain-driven design, microservices, workflow orchestration, or distributed systems.
• Observability, reliability, CI/CD, testing, or production operations.
• Telecom, fibre networks, OSS/BSS, provisioning, or network automation.
• AI-assisted development, coding agents, or agentic coding workflows.
