Randstad Digital is looking for a senior Java Backend Developer and Scrum Master for an exciting consultancy assignment with one of our most prominent clients in Gothenburg. In this dynamic dual role and you will play a pivotal part in a diverse team. Responsibilities

In this role, you will split your expertise between hands-on, high-level backend development and guiding your agile team to success as their Scrum Master. As a senior developer, you are expected to bring senior technical leadership, mentorship, and a deep understanding of complex software environments.

On the development side, you will be responsible for the architecture, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable backend systems. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster a continuous improvement mindset within the DevOps team.

As a consultant, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Java.
• Act as the team's Scrum Master, ensuring agile principles are followed and helping the team continuously improve their delivery flow.
• Ensure system scalability and perform load testing for high-performance applications.
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional DevOps environment to ensure smooth deployment and operation.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to more junior team members.

Qualifications

We are looking for a senior professional with a curious mind who loves innovation. You possess excellent communication skills, a natural leadership ability, and the capacity to build strong, collaborative relationships within a technical team.

Requirements:

• Backend Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience in backend Java programming, preferably using technologies like Spring Boot, JMS, and RelDb (or similar tools).
• Cloud & OS: Solid experience with AWS (Serverless, Node.js) and a strong foundation in Unix/Linux environments.
• Agile Excellence: Proven experience working in an Agile environment and a strong background in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Scrum Leadership: Demonstrated experience acting as a Scrum Master for technical development teams.
• Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of microservices architecture, design, and scalability.
• Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Meritorious skills (Great plus):

• Experience within the Automotive industry and connectivity solutions.
• Experience with UDP, Binary SMS, sat-com, or ASN1.
• Additional knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, CDK, Code Pipelines, Docker, Serverless development, and application profiling.

Assignment details

• Location: Gothenburg.
• Work model: On-site / Hybrid (according to client policy).
