The Product Unit Arexis is a part of the Business Unit Fighter Core Capabilities within Surveillance. The Product Unit is responsible for profitability, strategies, budgets and long- and short term goals for the portfolio within the Arexis Product family. The product unit consists of contract- project- and product management as well as System design, Software development, Integration and Verification.

As Head of Functional Development within Product Unit Arexis, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the software capabilities of one of the most advanced EW systems in the world. You will be responsible for development, delivery, and maintenance of software functionality across the Arexis product family, ensuring high quality, efficient execution, and continuous improvement.

Operating within an agile framework, you will balance strategic direction with operational excellence, driving both long-term capability development and day-to-day delivery performance.

You will lead an organization of approximately 150 employees, structured into functional teams, and play an important role in developing both the organization and its people. As part of this, you will foster a culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Success in this role requires close and effective collaboration across Product Units and within the broader Business Unit, ensuring alignment, transparency, and shared direction.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Lead, coach, and develop an organization of approximately 150 employees
• Ensure development, delivery, and maintenance of software functionality within the Arexis product family
• Drive development and maintenance of system test rigs for software development and verification
• Establish effective ways of working within and across functional teams
• Hold line management responsibility, including competence development and performance
• Own budget and financial responsibility for the function
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and capability growth
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Product Unit and organization
