We are growing! We are now in the hunt for a Utilities Equipment Technician within Senior Material to join our Equipment team.

Job responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily inspection, operation, and maintenance of utility equipment.
• Enter, compile, and summarize equipment operation data and energy consumption statistics.
• Assist the department manager in daily management and emergency response tasks.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Job mandate

• Monitor and record the operational status of utility equipment, report abnormalities in a timely manner.
• Organize and archive equipment maintenance records, logbooks, and related technical documents.
• Assist in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans for utility systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams or external vendors for equipment repairs and spare parts management. Participate in daily meetings, training sessions, and safety briefings.
• Support the Equipment Department in energy saving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job competence requirements

• Basic understanding of utility systems such as compressed air, cooling water, HVAC,steam, or wastewater treatment.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common mechanical or electrical issues in utility equipment.
• Familiar with using computer systems for data entry and basic reporting.
• Capable of reading and understanding equipment manuals, P&IDs, and simple electrical diagrams.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in utility equipment installation, operation or maintenance; experience in manufacturing or industrial plants is preferred.
