Assignment Description

We are currently looking for a Software Lead to join a leading company within the MedTech sector.

What You Will Work On

• Lead and manage a software development team (developers and test engineers)
• Plan, drive, and deliver end-to-end software projects
• Define and guide system architecture and technical decisions
• Manage backlog, sprint planning, and agile execution processes
• Ensure high-quality standards in development, testing, and delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams and external stakeholders
• Support team growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
• Drive continuous improvements in development processes and workflows

What You Bring

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience leading software development within Life Science or MedTech environments
• Background as a software developer, with additional experience in roles such as Product Owner or Technical Lead
• Experience managing teams of 5–10 engineers
• Strong leadership skills including coaching, goal setting, resource planning, and hiring
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous architectures
• Experience managing complex software development projects
• Familiarity with version control, documentation, and quality assurance practices
