We are looking for a EDS System Engineer- Automotive for a global automotive company in Gothenburg.

Start is in August 2026, 9-month limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.

Description of the assignment

We are looking for a motivated and curious engineer who wants to develop within Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) in the automotive industry.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical foundation who wants to learn more about wiring harnesses, fuse strategies, grounding concepts and complete vehicle electrical architecture while working in an exciting vehicle development environment.

In this role you will:

* Support development of the vehicle electrical distribution system

* Work with wiring harnesses, distribution boxes, wire sizing and fuse concepts

* Assist in system design based on vehicle loads and functional requirements

* Collaborate with function, system and component owners

* Participate in supplier communication and technical follow-up

* Participate in the onsite plant build support across Europe and/or China

* Support analysis of changes and impacts when new functions are introduced

* Support analysis of quality matters reported by customers

* Report progress and status within the project team

Qualifications and skills required for the role

* Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar

* Basic understanding of electrical systems or automotive technology

* Understanding of EU customer expectations or market needs

* Strong willingness to learn and grow within EDS

* Structured way of working and ability to take ownership

* Good communication skills

* Fluent English, spoken and written

Preferred qualifications:

* Interest in automotive electrical architecture

* Experience from automotive industry or supplier environment

* Knowledge in schematics or electrical calculations

The assignment includes travel.

This is a full-time consultant position in Gothenburg through Incluso. Start is in August 2026, 9 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.
