About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a critical subproject within a broader NIS2 compliance program. This role focuses on driving the implementation of key IT security initiatives aligned with regulatory requirements, business priorities, and risk assessments.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing Subproject 2, which focuses on technology and IT development within the NIS2 framework. The role involves overseeing planning, execution, and delivery of technical security measures, ensuring alignment with governance standards and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the execution of the assigned subproject in line with established governance frameworks
• Coordinate the rollout of technical security initiatives in accordance with NIS2 requirements
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring effective tracking of timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, security units, and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery
• Prioritize activities based on risk assessments, system criticality, and interdependencies
• Ensure comprehensive documentation and facilitate structured handover to operational teams
• Provide regular progress updates and reporting to stakeholders

Technical Focus Areas

• Vulnerability and risk management
• Identity and access management (including MFA and lifecycle processes)
• Logging, monitoring, and log management
• Patch and update management
• Network segmentation and protection of critical systems
• Backup, recovery, and resilience planning
• Application-level security enhancements
• Configuration management databases (CMDB) for critical assets

Deliverables

• Successful implementation of defined technical security measures
• Coordinated delivery across multiple parallel technical workstreams
• Well-documented outputs to support operations and management
• Contributions to tracking and achieving NIS2-related objectives

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technical project management within complex IT environments
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, security practices, and application ecosystems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
• Excellent skills in planning, organization, and performance tracking

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NIS2 regulations, cybersecurity, or information security frameworks
• Background in regulated or mission-critical environments

Education

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
