Backend Engineer – Digital Enterprise (HR & Finance)

We are now looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Digital Domain supporting HR and Finance.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team within our Digital Enterprise function, working closely with both business and technical colleagues.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Developing and maintain backend services that enable reliable HR and Finance operations

• Designing APIs and integrations that enable reliable and scalable communication between systems

• Working with both synchronous and asynchronous patterns, including event-driven approaches where relevant

• Contributing to how services are structured, interact, and evolve over time

• Collaborating with HR and Finance stakeholders to understand needs and turn them into working solutions

• Breaking down problems into clear technical components and development tasks

• Ensuring that security, data protection, and access control are embedded in the solutions we build

What you’ll bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• A few years of experience in backend development
• Experience working with APIs and/or microservice-based systems
• Interest in how systems are designed and how components interact over time
• Familiarity with asynchronous patterns (events, messaging, queues)
• Ability to break down complex problems into structured technical solutions
• Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Interest in understanding business processes and how digital solutions support them

Meriting:

• Experience with Kotlin / Spring or similar
• Experience with cloud, DevOps practices, or CI/CD
• Experience working with testing, monitoring, or production systems
