ALTEN Sweden is now looking for a Group Design Leader.
As a Group Design Leader (GDL), you will play a critical role in leading and coordinating hardware design and ECU (Electronic Control Unit) development for advanced vehicle systems, with a focus on alarm, tailgate, charge lid, locks, doors, and tow hitches.
Your role
As a Group Design Leader (GDL), you will play a key role in leading and coordinating design work, driving technical solutions and managing requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You will:
- Take ownership of hardware components (ECU, electrical hardware, E/E architecture) and lead design activities from concept to production.
- Balance technical complexity, costs, and timelines in demanding projects, with a focus on ISO16750 standards and functional safety.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with development, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure smooth processes and high quality.
- Manage significant cost responsibilities, ensuring both technical and business objectives are met.
- Oversee technical documentation, requirements management, and supplier coordination using tools such as Teamcenter, Planisware, and Careaver/Systemweaver.
Your profile
- Previous experience as a GDL (Group Design Leader) in automotive hardware and ECU development.
- Strong ability to handle complexity and thrive in challenging projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and cost responsibilities in complex projects.
- Proficiency in tools such as Teamcenter, Planisware, Careaver/Systemweaver, and knowledge of ISO16750, ISO26262, and ASPICE.
