We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Lead who wants to work with advanced vehicle development within cab and chassis exterior systems. In this role, you will play a key part in driving technical solutions from early concept phase all the way to serial production, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the development of cab and chassis exterior components for heavy vehicles
• Act as design owner for plastic, sheet metal, and mixed-material components throughout the full development lifecycle
• Develop injection-moulded and vacuum-formed plastic parts, as well as sheet metal structures, including brackets and mounting solutions
• Drive concept development, prototyping, and validation activities
• Collaborate closely with Styling, Ergonomics, Simulation, Purchasing, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering
• Ensure designs meet DFM/DFA, quality, cost, and serviceability requirements
• Lead and participate in design reviews and technical decision-making
• Work with suppliers on tooling development, manufacturing readiness, and serial production
• Contribute to modular and platform-based product development

We would like you to have:

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Several years of experience within automotive product development, preferably in cab, chassis, or exterior systems
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Injection-moulded plastic components
• Vacuum-formed plastics
• Sheet metal design and brackets
• Experience working across the full product lifecycle: concept → prototype → verification → series production
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production constraints
• Experience working in large organizations with multiple stakeholders
• Experience with CATIA V5 and ENOVIA VPM

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with CREO and/or Windchill
• Experience working in structured OEM PLM environments
• Experience with modular or platform-based product development
