DESCRIPTION

We have a modern microservice architecture with code no older than two years, and our platform is hosted both in AWS and in our own data centers, using cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, to name a few. Here, you will take part in designing, developing, and deploying backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability. These backend services form the backbone of our messaging experience, which serves more than 150,000 businesses globally.

As our new Node.js Backend Developer you will:

• Take an active role in transforming user stories into clean, maintainable, and high-quality code. This is a hands-on position focused on both design and development.
• Contribute as a key member of an autonomous, cross-functional team delivering our messaging platform to businesses around the world.
• Share your expertise and drive improvements in methodologies and best practices across the team.
• Work closely with passionate colleagues, enjoy a collaborative and fun environment, and take pride in building world-class solutions for customer engagement.

REQUIREMENTS

Who are you?

Passion for coding is the most important ingredient for success. An ideal candidate is someone who, in addition to TypeScript, has Node.js backend experience and has worked with cloud-native technologies. We are a group of enthusiastic problem-solvers who enjoy tackling complex challenges, and we’d love for you to join if you feel the same way.

• Collaboration, curiosity, and strong communication skills are essential, as we build world-class messaging solutions together.
• Strong background in modern software development practices.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing event-driven microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building scalable services with cloud-native technologies.
• Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus).

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Cursor) into engineering workflows.
• Background in telecom provisioning systems or high-transaction, carrier-grade platforms.
• Familiarity with messaging protocols such as SMS, RCS, and WhatsApp.
