This position is responsible for leading the Project management office (PMO) and business development (BD) function in the Service division. The role’s overall responsibility is to ensure a successful implementation of the Service division’s strategy implementation.

The focus will be on building the PMO structure and follow-up mode of operation and delivering the project results together with the business leaders and sub-project leaders. In addition this person will be leading from time to time various business development initiatives. The Director, PMO and Business Development shall also perform any other duties assigned to him/her by the Company.

This Director, PMO and Business Development reports to the head of Service division and is a member of the Service division’s management team. The position will be based at MacGregor’s head office in Göteborg.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are seeking an accountable, results-driven leader with a strategic, customer-first mindset and a proven track record of running PMOs and BD projects. It is also important to understand the principles of change management. You are an influential communicator who uses a logical, fact-based approach to challenge and guide the organization. We need a skilled collaborator who works across diverse cultural and organizational boundaries, creates a positive team climate, and possesses strong project management skills which is needed to thrive in our decentralized matrix environment.

• Degree in business, economics, business administration, or engineering.
• 10+ years in consultancy or engineering company, with progressive experience from hands-on to holistic level in a global organisation
• 5+ Strategy implementation and/or PMO experience
• Project management skills, can function efficiently in a decentralised matrix organisation
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
