EcoPhi AB is building the next generation of software-defined substations—combining high-performance merging units and edge platforms with virtualized monitoring, protection, and power-quality applications.
We work with utilities, OEMs, and system integrators to modernize substation automation and accelerate grid digitalization.
We’re now looking for a Junior Business Developer with an electrical power engineering background and familiarity with substations and power systems, who wants to grow into a commercial role in deep-tech energy infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Support business development activities across utilities, OEMs, EPCs, and system integrators
- Build and qualify a pipeline: lead research, outreach, follow-ups, meeting preparation
- Help prepare proposals, quotations, and RFP/RFQ responses (technical + commercial)
- Coordinate product demos and customer workshops (with our engineering team)
- Maintain CRM updates and create short customer summaries, meeting notes, and action plans
- Track markets, competitors, and customer needs in digital substations and grid automation
- Attend events, customer meetings, and site visits (some travel expected)
What we’re looking for (must-have)
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred) or similar background
- Familiar with substation basics (primary equipment + protection/automation concepts)
- Comfortable discussing technical topics with engineers and translating them into customer value
- Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is a plus)
- Structured working style: can manage tasks, follow-ups, and documentation
- Interest in commercial work: customer conversations, outreach, and relationship building
Nice-to-have (great if you have it)
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 (GOOSE/MMS/Sampled Values) or digital substation architecture
- Understanding of protection, PQ monitoring, PMU/DFR concepts, or substation communications
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) or technical sales/support roles
- Internship/Thesis/project experience with utilities, OEMs, or grid-related companies
What we offer
- A steep learning curve in a fast-moving deep-tech company
- Direct exposure to real utility projects, pilots, and partner collaborations
- Mentorship from senior technical and commercial leadership
- Opportunity to grow into roles such as Business Developer, Key Account, or Product/Commercial Manager
How to apply
Send your CV + a short note (max 10 lines) describing:
- your power-systems/substation experience, and
