YOU WILL DO
You will join the Software and Mechatronics team within the Industrialization department that provides machines for manufacturing the unique Exeger material.
Hands-on the department works with acquiring machines, modifying off-the shelf machinery, and developing tailormade machines, measurement devices and other technical solutions.
As a Data engineer you will:
- Maintain and develop the data architecture and infrastructure
- Designing data pipelines in cooperation with our software engineering team
- Work with visualization tools to bring value out of the data we generate
- Own, build and maintain dashboards, version-controlled tools and reports
- Developing as a professional being part of a team of seasoned developers
- Finding creative solutions to unique challenges
- Bringing your vision and ideas to the table
The exact definition of this role is flexible and can be adapted depending on your background and interests.
Please note that this role requires on-site availability.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Software and Mechatronics team to help with the ever-increasing demand for data, insights and analysis.

That said, we know that you will have a better chance at succeeding in this role if you have the following experience:
- BSc (or Higher) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL tools and databases
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Hands-on experience in data modeling
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Knowi, Tableau, PowerBI or similar.
- Solid knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Fluency in written and spoken English
If you also have any of the experiences below, don't forget to mention them, because you will get bonus points:
- Experience with tools such as Elasticsearch, LogStash or equivalent
- Experience with Data warehouses or Data lakes.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with general purpose programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or similar.
- Familiarity with version control (Git, SVN, Hg, etc.)
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl or PowerShell
- Familiarity with CI/CD and/or DevOps concepts
- Familiarity with containers (Docker, etc.)
- Experience in working within an industrial organization
