Mölnlycke is now looking for a Customer Insight Manager to strengthen our Global R&D innovation capability.

This is a newly created role with a clear mission: to ensure that every innovation starts with a deeply understood, validated customer need.
You will play a critical role in translating clinical insights into actionable inputs that shape future solutions.
Your work will directly influence how we define, prioritize, and develop innovations across our wound care ecosystem.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- Identify, validate, and quantify unmet customer needs to guide early innovation decisions
- Translate clinical workflows and user insights into actionable requirements and design inputs
- Shape minimum viable product (MVP) definitions and innovation roadmaps
- Partner closely with Marketing and cross-functional teams to align insight generation with strategy
- Bring a customer-first mindset into R&D and influence key stakeholders across the organization
- Contribute to building new ways of working, embedding customer-centricity in early innovation
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will operate at the intersection of research, strategy, and product development:
- Conduct and synthesize user research, clinical observations, and workflow analysis
- Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, structured recommendations
- Support concept validation through usability studies and feedback loops
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and ecosystem insights
- Provide input into innovation pipelines, roadmaps, and prioritization decisions
- Ensure insights are grounded in clinical reality, digital workflows, and healthcare system constraints
- Act as a trusted advisor to R&D, helping teams understand the “why” behind innovation

What you bring
Must-haves
- Experience in medical devices or a closely related healthcare environment (essential)
- Strong background in user research, usability engineering within medical device R&D
- Proven ability to translate insights into product or solution requirements
- Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare environments
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, or product teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in wound care or adjacent therapeutic areas
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., IEC 62366, FDA, ISO 13485)
- Experience with digital health solutions or connected products
- Global market exposure, particularly US healthcare systems
