Role Overview

Job Description
The consultant will lead the definition and development of electrical system architecture across a wide product portfolio, including hybrid engine control systems and fully electric drivetrains such as electrical drive units and inverters.
The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, system safety, cybersecurity, and EMC specialists, to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design electrical and electronic systems for hybrid and electric powertrain applications
- Translate customer and product requirements into structured system-level specifications
- Ensure effective integration and scalability of ECUs and related subsystems
- Coordinate with hardware and software component owners to align system architecture with technical requirements
- Ensure adherence to automotive standards, including functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity regulations
- Address complex technical challenges such as communication network design, EMC considerations, and system topology optimization
- Lead the transition of electrical system concepts into production-ready solutions
- Act as the primary technical interface for electrical architecture in discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistency across system, hardware, and software domains
Experience Requirements
- Extensive experience in electrical system architecture within the automotive industry
- Proven track record in developing and integrating complex electrical and electronic systems
- Strong experience working with ECUs, communication protocols, and system-level design
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical requirements and cross-functional dependencies
Education Requirements
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline
