💼 About the Role

Edelweiss Legal LLP is looking for an associate to be part of our legal team.

👨🏻‍💻 Responsibilities

- Running fact-finding investigations.

- Assisting main counsel in completing day-to-day administrative tasks.

- Manage several parallel matters, working both independently and collaboratively with the team.

- Daily communication with clients.

- Daily communication with authorities (e.g., the Migration Agency, Border Police, case officers, and courts).

- Tracking and advising on legal and regulatory developments impacting our areas of practice.

🏢 Workplace

The preferred location is Hudiksvall, Sweden; however, any location in northern Sweden will be considered if the candidate is open to occasional travel to Hudiksvall.

🌟 The merits that we are looking for

- Fluency in English and Swedish is a must.

- Strong interpersonal and argumentation skills.

- An advanced understanding of the Swedish court system and immigration law is required.

- Theoretical or practical knowledge of ECHR/public international law is not a requirement but is highly preferred.

- Relevant legal education, work experience, or equivalent.

- Experience in interpreting and applying various EU Directives and related legislation.

🕒 Form of employment

Part-time or full-time. Part-time is preferred for those with less than two years of experience. Law students in their final year of study are welcome to apply for an alternative temporary position.

✅ EU Pay Transparency Directive

We offer competitive pay, with a starting salary of 53 400 SEK for a full-time associate with a law degree and the right to practise as public counsel before Migrationsverket and Swedish courts.

Other flexible compensation options are available for candidates who do not meet this criterion, depending on their individual merits and qualifications.
