You will join a team in the automotive industry that develops locking, door and window opening functions for current and upcoming vehicle programs. The work spans both existing and new functionality, with a strong focus on robust system design, customer-oriented behaviors and alignment with evolving electrical architectures.

In this role, you will help define how components and systems interact on vehicle level and turn complex needs into clear, structured solutions. You will work close to cross-functional teams and suppliers, contributing to functions that have a direct impact on the driver and passenger experience. • You will define and systemize functions and system behaviors within door control, locking, alarm and related features.
• You will develop requirements and drive decomposition across multiple abstraction layers.
• You will model and document system solutions in line with architectural guidelines.
• You will contribute to safety-related systemization in accordance with ISO 26262.
• You will take part in technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders to align solutions and move development forward.
• You will support verification and validation activities when needed.
• You will help shape robust technical solutions and function behaviors with a clear user perspective.

• 4+ years of experience in function and system design.
• Solid experience in advanced function and system design, systemization and modelling.
• Strong background in requirement engineering, including development, decomposition and traceability.
• Experience working with safety-critical systems and applying ISO 26262.
• Experience with Electra and Carweaver.
• Proven experience in supplier communication and technical alignment.
• MSc in Systems, Control & Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent competence gained from experience.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.

• Hardware design knowledge.
• Functional design experience.
• Understanding of use cases and user behavior.
