Assignment Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced BI Consultant to support the development and optimization of reporting solutions within public dental care services. The assignment focuses on enhancing data visibility, improving reporting structures, and enabling approximately 25 dental units to efficiently monitor financial performance and operational activities.

The consultant will work closely with internal stakeholders, contributing both technical expertise and knowledge transfer throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, refine, and enhance reports and dashboards to support financial and operational follow-up across dental care units.
• Develop intuitive and user-friendly dashboards, ensuring clear data visualization and accessibility.
• Analyze and restructure data to improve reporting accuracy, including adjustments such as:
• Excluding dental care components from hourly income calculations
• Isolating and tracking dental technician costs at an individual level
• Providing insights into listed patients per clinic
• Managing and categorizing time types effectively
• Calculating care time based on clinic presence rather than worked hours
• Filtering out private patients from public dental care datasets (e.g., Vårdansvar)
• Build and maintain tabular data models and work with tabular cubes to support reporting needs.
• Develop and enhance reports using Power BI, ensuring high-quality data presentation and usability.
• Support reporting and presentation needs related to SkaPA (Swedish quality register for caries and periodontitis), including layout improvements and website-ready outputs.
• Contribute to the delivery of approximately 30 reports (around 3 pages each).
• Collaborate with stakeholders through workshops and ongoing interactions, including an initial one-day review session.
• Ensure proper documentation of implemented solutions and contribute to structured working practices.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to the client’s internal teams during the assignment.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience (typically 9–12+ years) in BI consulting or related roles, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality assignments.
• Proven experience working on complex BI/reporting projects, preferably in large or multi-unit environments.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Power BI for report and dashboard development
• Extensive experience with tabular data models and tabular cubes
• Solid experience in SQL Server database modeling
• Proficiency in documenting technical implementations and data solutions
• Experience working with structured methodologies and standardized processes
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in data analysis within healthcare or medical domains
• Familiarity with DevOps practices

Language Requirements:

• Swedish – Native or Fluent (mandatory)
