We at ALTEN Lund are looking for C++ developers to join our automotive team. As a Software Engineer in this team, you’ll design, implement, and maintain critical software components that empower developers across the organization. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Develop and maintain C++/Python frameworks and tools (e.g., memory management, server-client communication) to simplify application development for the core vehicle computer. Optimize software for performance, safety, and reliability in an embedded environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine features, architecture, and requirements. Debug and test using emulators, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups, and prototype vehicles. Write unit tests and automated test scripts to ensure robustness. Use AI tools to accelerate development and testing in a large, complex codebase. Work in an agile team, contributing from requirements to deployment and automated testing. Your profile: MSc (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong C++/Python skills with experience in large-scale software development for embedded or critical systems. Knowledge of object-oriented design, clean architecture, and performance optimization. Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD, code reviews, and unit testing frameworks. Fluent English (written and spoken). MERITORIOUS: Experience with embedded software frameworks, API design, or C programming. Basic understanding of electronics/hardware.
