Your role

As a Supplier Quality Project and Category Manager you will:

• Lead supplier quality efforts in new projects:

Represent Supplier Quality in project phases, ensuring supplier readiness for Start of Production (SOP) and the execution of APQP, PPAP, and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).

• Manage category-specific supplier quality performance:

Define, monitor and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality targets and performance within assigned categories while approving or blocking supplier nominations based on quality risk assessments.

• Supplier audits and compliance:

Conduct supplier audits in compliance with standards like IATF 16949 and ISO 9001/14001, ensuring supplier adherence to quality requirements and driving process excellence.

• Supplier development and performance management:

Oversee supplier performance during both project and serial production, implementing corrective actions, knowledge sharing, and best practices to address quality issues and mitigate risks.

• Cross-functional collaboration:

Act as an interface between Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, and Logistics, aligning project quality requirements with category strategy while influencing critical sourcing and quality decisions.

Skills and Experience

• University degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Several years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Automotive industry

• Experience in both project environment and, strategic supplier or category management
• 
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• 
  
• Leadership in a cross-functional/matrix organization
