Assignment Overview:

Our client is seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of advanced processing equipment. This role involves leading mechanical engineering initiatives across the entire product lifecycle, from early-stage concept development and research through to detailed design, manufacturing support, installation, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with performance, hygiene, and reliability standards.
• Oversee end-to-end mechanical engineering activities, including concept design, prototyping, detailed engineering, and final system validation.
• Develop and optimize mechanical architectures with a focus on manufacturability, welding techniques, and efficient assembly processes.
• Perform advanced mechanical calculations and prepare technical specifications for equipment and components.
• Utilize 3D CAD tools (Inventor) to create precise models and engineering documentation.
• Validate design concepts through structured testing, simulations, and practical evaluations.
• Provide technical support during installation and production phases, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Act as a technical mentor, promoting best practices and maintaining high-quality engineering standards across the team.
• Adapt proactively to evolving project requirements while maintaining a structured and solution-oriented approach.

Required Experience:

Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within processing equipment or similar industrial environments (Senior/Expert level).

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in mechanical calculations and engineering analysis
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes and fabrication methods
• Experience in mechanical testing and validation techniques
• Hands-on experience with LFS equipment and associated workflows
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, specifically Autodesk Inventor
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to installation and production issues

Language Requirements:

• Swedish – Proficient
• English – Proficient
