You will take a key role in a large-scale digital transformation within the automotive industry, where new digital services are being built to create seamless user experiences, support new business models, and increase innovation across the business.

In this assignment, you will own the Event Streaming service within the integration domain. The service is built on Apache Kafka and enables event-driven capabilities for applications across the enterprise. You will work in an environment that values secure, reliable, and scalable integrations, with a strong focus on self-service, automation, and operational excellence.

You will be responsible for the full service lifecycle, from design and onboarding to operations and continuous improvement. The role combines service leadership, platform development, architecture collaboration, and close dialogue with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

• Own the long-term direction, vision, and roadmap for the Kafka-based event streaming service.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the service lifecycle, including design, onboarding, operations, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the platform meets user needs while remaining stable, secure, and aligned with architecture and governance standards.
• Work closely with suppliers and technical teams to secure high-quality delivery and efficient service operations.
• Drive the development of new service capabilities and support the evolution of self-service for application teams.
• Collaborate with architects to maintain a robust service architecture for both the platform and surrounding tooling.
• Improve operational excellence through automation of lifecycle management, monitoring, logging, and dashboards.
• Support development teams with guidance on Kafka best practices and how to use the platform effectively.
• Manage service requirements, specifications, stakeholder alignment, and quality expectations.
• Follow up on financial aspects of the service, including budget tracking and delivery performance.

• At least five years of experience in a leading role, driving digital service strategy as a Service Owner, Service Manager, or in a similar position.
• Extensive experience in integration concepts and technologies, with a strong focus on event streaming and Kafka platforms and strategies.
• Experience working with suppliers and leading discussions covering both critical operations and ongoing development.
• Experience working in distributed service teams and with modern development practices.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
• A data-driven approach to decision-making and performance measurement.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
