Coretura is building the Software Defined Vehicle Platform (SDVP) for commercial vehicles — a foundation that connects operating system technology, cloud services, and deep vehicle integration into one coherent product. It’s ambitious, technical, and built for real‑world impact.

To scale this platform with intention, we’re hiring our first Cost Engineer. Someone who sees cost not as a spreadsheet exercise, but as a design parameter. Someone who can translate complexity into clarity and help us make decisions that stand the test of time.

This role sits at the intersection of hardware, software, architecture, and operations. A key part of your work will be to educate our teams and run workshops across the organization to build cost awareness and help stakeholders understand how design decisions influence long‑term economics. You’ll shape how we think, how we build, and how we grow.

You’ll establish Coretura’s cost engineering function from day one — starting with our HPC and SOC and expanding across the entire SDV platform.

Your mission is to make cost embedded all the way from early design decisions to operational execution, ensuring we always have a clear and accurate view of how our choices impact the bottom line.

· Build transparent, reliable cost models for hardware, software, projects, and operations.

· Partner with Procurement, Product, Operations, and Engineering to challenge assumptions and reveal opportunities.

· Influence early design decisions to secure cost‑efficient development and production.

· Communicate insights with precision — risks, opportunities, tradeoffs.

· Train teams to understand cost structures, KPIs, and the financial impact of technical choices.

· Develop Coretura’s cost frameworks, tools, and processes.

· Support supplier and customer discussions with data‑driven clarity.

· Strengthen budgeting and forecasting with grounded, actionable analysis.

You’re analytical, curious, and comfortable questioning the obvious. You bring structure to ambiguity and clarity to complexity. You enjoy teaching others, building new ways of working, and you influence through expertise, rather than hierarchy.

· An engineering‑related academic background.

· Several years of experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, controlling, operations, or similar.

· Strong analytical and modeling skills.

· Understanding of production processes, supply chains, or technical development environments.

· Experience with KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, and follow‑up.

· The ability to explain complex cost structures simply and effectively.

· Experience in hardware, manufacturing, or product development (automotive is a plus).

· Experience coaching or training others.
