What you will do At Volvo Buses you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the people transport industry and society at large. You will have end-to-end purchasing responsibility for a global direct material commodity portfolio, strengthening competitiveness across quality, cost, delivery, technology, sustainability and risk. In this role as Senior Commodity Buyer, you will: •    Develop and drive commodity and supplier strategies, translating business needs into clear roadmaps •    Lead supplier selection, negotiations and contract implementation in close collaboration with colleagues across purchasing, product development, manufacturing, quality and cost engineering •    Build strong supplier partnerships and secure performance, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management Your future team You will join the Chassis Platform Team at Global Bus Purchasing, a welcoming and collaborative group of buyers and functional managers who enjoy solving problems together and sharing knowledge. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and you will be part of a truly global network. Who are you? You bring experience and a structured way of working, and you enjoy collaborating across functions and cultures. You are comfortable combining long-term strategy with hands-on execution, and you communicate clearly and respectfully. Essential •    5+ years of experience within purchasing/procurement, including end-to-end responsibility •    Experience building purchasing strategies and or business plans, with a strategic mindset •    Experience from automotive or a closely related manufacturing industry •    Direct material and commodity purchasing experience •    Global experience and confidence working across cultures and functions •    A positive attitude to new challenges and a can-do attitude •    Accountability and focus on result. •    Excellent commercial understanding and negotiating skills, both in preparation and execution •    Fluent in English Nice to have •    Experience within electronics purchasing and supply markets •    A university degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience Who you are is the most important thing for us.
