About the AssignmentYou will take a key role in shaping electrical and electronic architecture for advanced powertrain products in the automotive sector.
The assignment spans hybrid engine control systems and fully electric drivetrains, including functions such as Electrical Drive Units and inverters.
You will work in a highly skilled Electronics & Software environment where scalability, performance, safety, and industrialization are central from concept through production.
You will also collaborate closely with software, hardware, system safety, cybersecurity, and EMC specialists to create robust system solutions that support sustainable mobility.
Job Description- You define and develop system architecture for electrical and electronic systems across hybrid and electric powertrain solutions.
- You translate product and customer needs into tailored system requirements for new products.
- You drive integration and scalability across subsystems and ECUs.
- You work with ECU component owners and hardware teams to align detailed designs with system-level requirements.
- You ensure compliance with safety, performance, and cybersecurity standards.
- You address technical challenges related to communication networks, EMC, topology, load balancing, and signal interaction.
- You support industrialization from early concept to production readiness.
- You act as a key technical contact for electrical architecture in dialogue with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements- You have a Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- You have proven experience defining and developing electrical system architecture within the automotive industry.
- You bring strong knowledge of ECU design, communication protocols, and standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity regulations.
- You have a deep technical understanding of EMC challenges, load balancing, and signal interactions in vehicles.
- You are comfortable collaborating with component owners and system specialists while driving integration across hardware and software.
- You work in a structured and proactive way when handling complex technical requirements and problem-solving.
Nice to have- You have experience from Volvo Cars, AB Volvo, or Geely Group companies.
